A recent painting and short video, inspired by the Scots Gaelic poem An Ataireachd Ard, written by Donald McIver of Lewis, originally set to music by John MacDonald. Variously translated as The Surge / Ceaseless Surge / Eternal surge of the Sea the poem mourns the impact of emigration on island communities and the continuous churning of time
